I'm sharing with you 5 summer staples that I know I won't be able to live without and so you don't miss out on them either!

One-Piece Swimsuit

Last summer I stepped out of my comfort zone and purchased a one-piece swimsuit for my trip to Cabo. What I didn't realize is that it would become my absolute fave swimsuit. Just a simple black one-piece is SO flattering and wait for it - comfortable. Seriously though, is there anything worse than wondering how long it's going to take for you to have a wardrobe malfunction in your bikini? I'm all about a stress-free swimsuit experience.

Summer Clutch

If you're like me and a lot of your closet has neutrals, but you want to add some color because you know it's summer time and the sun is finally out, then a summer clutch is going to be your new favorite accessory. It makes such a statement and means you don't really have to do much shopping for clothes. 1 or 2 summer clutches and you've livened up any outfit. I'm on the hunt for a BRIGHT colored clutch for a black tie wedding I'm going to this summer where I'll be wearing a black dress.

Off - the - shoulder top

Is it really summer if you're not wearing your off the shoulder tops?? I am deep into the OTS top and dress train. I love how easy they are to throw on yet they dress up any outfit in a feminine and fun way. Even Sam has realized how much of a summer staple these are in my wardrobe.

Gone are the days of staying out in the sun all day baking in the sun. And it's not just because my boyfriend's mom is a dermatologist. Even if I'm out in the sun for a few minutes now I just feel like my energy is depleting and my skin feels too hot. Plus - suncare is the ultimate anti-aging treatment. My faves are of course an SPF that doesn't make my face break out (hard to find but it's out there - I'm using Replenix), sunglasses, and Sugar Fresh Lip Treatment.

I don't know about you, but I've always had a love/hate relationship with shorts. For a long time, my legs were what I was most self-conscious about and wearing jean shorts was just out of necessity in the Dallas heat. I was stuck trying to figure out where to buy quality jean shorts that didn't mean splurging. I can totally justify $160 for jeans but not for shorts. I also love cotton and silky shorts that I can dress up or down and wear with heels. The ones I wore here are going to be a staple for sure this summer.

And if you're heading off to a beach vacation soon, head over to my Beach Faves shop to see what I'm dreaming up of taking on my next vacay.
