Embroidered Blue Free People Dress
I'm seriously obsessed with this Free People dress. I feel IN LOVE with it when I was on the Free People website earlier this year, but I knew it was once of those dresses I couldn't ordered online because I had NO CLUE how it would fit. Anytime there's a baggy borderline sack dress, it definitely needs to be tried on before purchase or I risk it engulfing all 5' 1" of me.
I really hate ordering clothes online if it's something that might have a high chance of not fitting, so I deemed this dress as a loss especially because it was online only.
BUT THEN. Two weeks later I walked into Free People in KC and THERE IT WAS. Someone had returned it and it was a size small. I tried it on and this blue is just SO GOOD in person. Seriously.
So honestly, I could have used an extra small in this dress so it wouldn't be as loose fitting as it is, but I was just too obsessed with the dress to not make it work. So in order to balance it out a bit, I just try to wear heels with it as often as possible.
PS..this dress and photoshoot is a prime example of how I have no idea how to use an iron. I PROMISE that I worked so hard to iron this dress, yet you would never know. There was a huge part of me that thought I shouldn't posted, but I mean this is honestly how I've worn it out before anyway...I normally SWEAR by my steamer. It's so much faster and does the job so much better than an Iron, but it broke and it makes me so sad. So if any of y'all have any suggestions on a great steamer - and also a travel one at that, let me know!! [line]
