Casual Outfit Details: Sweater (similar here) // Joe's Jeans // Sandals // Celine Bag

It has been somewhat of an adjustment getting used to the fact that summer in Southern California can still require jeans and a sweater. Because of this, I'm always on the lookout for lightweight sweaters (and let's be honest, we all know a sweater and denim is my favorite casual outfit). I found this beige sweater (similar here) while walking around Larchmont one day and I walked into Hardware. Hardware is an adorable shop with a lot of affordable on trend pieces. Side note: If you haven't made it to Larchmont yet, I highly recommend it. It is by far one of my favorite LA areas. While you're there you absolutely must go to Salt & Straw. The salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream flavor is my fave, in a waffle cone of course.

Now, back to fashion. If you have been looking for a pair of boyfriend jeans, Joe's Jeans makes great ones. If you're petite like me (I'm 5'1"), you understand the struggle of finding boyfriend jeans that don't look absolutely ridiculous. When I was shopping at Hall's, I almost didn't try these on, but I am so glad that I did. They are super comfortable and have a bit of weight to them and they don't really stretch out. In theory they're supposed to be a little bit cropped, but if you're a shorty like me, you'll love that you don't have to get these guys hemmed!

The sandals I'm wearing with this outfit are avarcas, they're a traditional Spanish shoe. I've worn this type of shoe my whole life, so it's funny to see it now become mainstream in the US. Last week, I wrote a post on avarcas and espadrilles. They are so many great fashion forward options for this summer!
