In my black and white outfit post, I added a grey leather jacket to keep the black and white theme from looking too literal. Black and white is such a timeless and classic look, but sometimes it's fun to throw in a little color. Right now I'm loving how neutral shades look as black and white accent colors.

Start with the basics Basic black and white pieces that you should have on hand in your closet include a black maxi dress, white denim, and a white blouse. These items are interchangeable with just about anything you already own and serve as a canvas for just about any outfit.

Blush Last spring, blush was one of my favorite colors and almost a year later it has continued to be one of my favorite accent colors. It's light enough to act as a neutral, but can be a refreshing change from tans and beiges.

Navy Navy might not be the first color that you think of when styling black and white outfits, but I just love the look of navy and black together. Although it used to be a major fashion faux pas, now that the rule has been broken, I just can't get enough of it!

Cognac A cognac accessory like this J.Crew bag is a great staple to have because not only does it look great with black and white outfits, but it goes with just about anything. I love this bucket bag and think it is absolutely perfect for weekends when you're on the go!
